The Norwegian company Olaisen Blue has announced the appointment of Atle Eide as Chair of the Board. Moreover, the blue economy business has added three new members to its board: Thomas Bakke, Maria Olaisen, and Aino Olaisen.
Atle Eide has extensive experience in the industry, in which he has held various roles over several decades. The Norwegian company believes that Eide will be important to the company's expansion and growth.
Eiden explained that the work that has been done in the company's first two years is impressive. "It will be inspiring together with the board and the team in the company to help develop Olaisen Blue further, to take a position as a leading early-stage investor in the blue economy."
However, the team has grown further and three other members have joined to the board.
Tomas Bakke is from Seafood People AS, a consultancy and recruitment company within seafood. A professional with experience in the sector and who sees the potential of the Olaisen Blue philosophy.
On the other hand, Maria Olaisen and Aino Olaisen, the majority owners of Nova Sea, have also joined. Aino is the chairman of the board of Nova Sea and a co-chairwoman of The Global Salmon Initiative (GSI). Thus, Maria is a board member of Nova Sea and works as an active investor. Both have a vision and skills that will benefit the company.
