The IFFO – The Marine Ingredients Organisation's 60th Annual Conference will be held in the fishing powerhouse of Lima, Peru, from 24th to 26th October 2022. Registration is already open with a discounted fee if you signed before the 26th of August. There will be simultaneous interpretations between English and Spanish.
Firstly, participants will be able to discuss the latest research on biodiversity and the land-use implications of restricting fishing. Also, they will dissect the latest evidence on the effects of climate change on global fisheries. Through Life cycle assessment (LCA) analyses, an essential approach to feeding.
Besides, IFFO's Dr. Brett Glencross will chair a dialogue on how by-products would be an increasing contributor to marine ingredient supply. In addition, there will be talks about specialty ingredients and palatability and how to make the most of by-products.
On the other hand, updates on Aquaculture Stewardship Council's Feed and farming standard will be presented. As well as a case study on the Panama Fishery Improvement Project and how to transition to full MarinTrust certification can be achieved.

Furthermore, Arni Mathiesen, Independent Chair of the Global Roundtable on Marine Ingredients, will talk about the increase of sustainable marine ingredients. Moreover, understand and address urgent social issues and enhance social responsibility in key fisheries and regions.
