Norwegian Seafood Group (NS) - the new brand name for Visscher Seafood Group - announced yesterday the appointment of Johannes Korf as Managing Director of Norwegian Seafood Europe B.V.
According to the company's release, this includes the processing of salmon fillets, portions, and a variety of other premium value-added items for retail, food service and industrial customers across international markets.
The new Managing Director, who will take up his new position on January 1, 2026, has extensive experience and has already built a long career within Norwegian Seafood Group, making this appointment a promotion for him.
As the company pointed out, Korf started in production, moved on to sales support and account management roles, and later headed up Norwegian Seafood's operations in the United States. For the past three years, he has been Head of Sales, contributing significantly to the growth and professionalization of the commercial organization.
"His broad operational background, commercial expertise, and deep familiarity with the business position him to lead NS Europe into its next phase," the release noted.
Regarding his new position, Norwegian Seafood said that Johannes Korf will assume full responsibility for the P&L (Profit & Loss) of Norwegian Seafood Europe B.V. His tasks during his tenure will include optimizing value-added operations, strengthening market positions, and driving sustainable growth.

Norwegian Seafood Group is one of the major processors and distributors of farmed salmon and whitefish from the North Atlantic. In 2023, Visscher Seafood Group acquired the commercial activities of Norway Royal Salmon (NRS) from SalMar, after which, as mentioned above, the export company was renamed Norwegian Seafood AS.
