Innovasea has announced that its interim Chief Executive Officer, Mark Jollymore, has been appointed permanent CEO. The aquatech firm named him interim CEO this past May.
With this appointment, the company aims to strengthen its plans to drive new solutions for regenerative aquaculture and the research and management of wild fish populations.
"Mark's leadership has already helped lead Innovasea through an important chapter. Now we look forward to scaling impact and unlocking the next phase of growth," expressed Managing Partner of Cuna del Mar and Chairman of Innovasea's Board of Directors, Don Grant.
Innovasea's new CEO previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Amirix, where he led the Vemco brand to become the global leader in acoustic fish tracking.
Since joining the Boston-based company, Jollymore has contributed to the development and promotion of the NexTrak acoustic telemetry solution, one of the latest innovations designed to enhance performance in the water, as well as laying the first technological foundations for advanced fish tracking.
"Innovasea is uniquely positioned to provide breakthrough capabilities that help ensure aquaculture can be a contributor to ocean health, biodiversity, and food security globally. My focus will be to build on our world-class innovation capabilities and customer-first approach to support the critical advancements of our aquaculture and fish-research customers," he expressed.
Additionally, Jollymore is the Chairman of the Board of Directors at COVE, a Canadian innovation center and global technology hub focused on advancing marine technology, and serves on several boards of directors, both for-profit and non-profit organizations.
