Sekkingstad, a family-owned company with a long history and strong roots in the production, sales, and marketing of seafood products, especially high-quality Norwegian salmon and trout, announced the appointment of Torstein Klokk Pettersen as its new Chief Financial Officer.

The new CFO brings with him solid experience in financial management, operational development, and financial structuring within the sector. Klokk Pettersen joins Sekkingstad from his position as CFO at the Norwegian company specializing in custom seafood processing, First Seafood.

As highlighted in the announcement of his appointment, Sekkingstad's newly named CFO is looking forward to taking up the position.

"I am truly excited to take on this opportunity," Torstein Klokk Pettersen said. "Sekkingstad is a company with a clear direction and strong ambitions, and I look forward to contributing to its continued development together with the rest of the organization," he added.

In his new role, he will have overall responsibility for the company's financial strategy, as well as digital development and economic and operational reporting.

"We in the Sekkingstad Group are very pleased to welcome Torstein to the team. He will be an important member of our executive management," said Sekkingstad CEO Andreas Mikalsen, who, after being announced for the position in October 2023, finally took office in January 2024.

"Torstein brings a strong combination of financial expertise, industry insight, and a fantastic personality. He will be a valuable asset in our efforts to strengthen our position in the market," Mikalsen added.

Founded in 1923, since the late 1990s, Sekkingstad Group has moved away from production and focused on salmon processing and marketing, where today it is one of the world's leading independent companies.

Thanks to the strategic locations of its factories, near Bergen in Norway and Hirtshals in Denmark, they reach all markets worldwide within 3 days.
