Saudi seafood farming giant, National Aquaculture Group (NAQUA), has announced the appointment of Fawaz Aljasser as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This move comes after the departure of Diego Illingworth, who held the position for 3 years.

Your dedication, passion, and hard work have driven our success. It’s been an honor to lead such a talented, innovative group," Illingworth wrote on LinkedIn.
Previously, Aljasser worked at the Saudi multinational group Almarai, where he was Executive Vice President of the Bakery Division and Chief Human Resources Officer. For two years, he was also the General Manager at Teeba Investment for Developed Food Processing, a subsidiary of IDJ (Almarai & PepsiCo).
"With over 20 years of distinguished leadership in the food and beverage industry and business development, Mr. Al Jasser has consistently demonstrated a remarkable ability to drive growth and foster innovation," NAQUA's statement reads.
NAQUA offers aquaculture products that are grown in Saudi farms which are strategically located by the coast of the Red Sea in Saudi Arabia, 180 kilometers south of Jeddah. It is one of the world’s largest fully-integrated marine farms specializing in shrimp and fish production with a total investment of 4 billion SAR to date.
