Seafish welcomes two new Board members

The UK seafood trade body Seafish has confirmed the addition of two new members to its Board: Sarah Holmyard and Georgina Wright. Both will hold the position for a term of three years, from November 11, 2024, to November 10, 2027.

Holmyard held roles at Seafood Scotland, Interfish, Cleanseas, and The Kingfish Company and now is the Head of Sales and Marketing at Offshore Shellfish Ltd. Recently, she was appointed as a Director of UK Women in Fisheries.

Also, Wright has 30 years of experience in the seafood industry. Formerly Mowi Sales Director, she served as Chair of the Scottish Salmon Industry Brexit Working Group which helped the industry prepare for Brexit changes.

It recently announced the release of its Seafood Carbon Emissions Profiling Tool to help seafood businesses identify and tackle carbon emissions "hotspots" in their supply chains, and thus help the entire sector meet their net-zero targets.
