SalMar Aker Ocean consolidates its offshore and exposed aquaculture expertise, acquiring 100 percent of the shares in Arctic Offshore Farming AS from SalMar.
Two other companies, EDISA and MILANPLASTIC—specializing in digital traceability and packaging respectively—have also joined SSP together with the aquaculture nutrition firm.
The three have launched the Ocean Stewardship Initiative, whose main objective is to support the creation of a protected area in Antarctica, the main krill harvesting zone.
