Dutch food and biochemicals company Corbion has joined the Sustainable Shrimp Partnership (SSP) as its newest associate member to support environmentally and socially responsible aquaculture practices.

Through its algae-based Omega-3 feed ingredient solutions, Corbion will help advance more sustainable shrimp farming worldwide and support more resilient supply chains.

"By joining SSP, we help build a more proactive and conscientious industry while reaffirming our commitment to the aquaculture industry that advances through collaboration, innovation, and respect," explained Lenaïg Richard, Global Business Development Manager, Aquaculture.

Moreover, SSP's Director, Pamela Nath, said: "Having Corbion’s support enriches our reach and strengthens our ability to promote better practices. We are pleased to welcome them and are confident that this alliance will generate a positive and lasting impact."

In 2024, Adisseo, BIOLAN, and Cargill also joined SSP to promote responsible, sustainable, and transparent practices in aquaculture. The expertise, innovation, and resources of these companies help encourage sustainable shrimp farming practices.
