De Heus Animal Nutrition has officially completed the acquisition of the Asian animal feed company CJ Feed & Care, enabling its entry into two new strategically important markets: Korea and the Philippines.

As announced in October 2025, De Heus also opened a new shrimp feed mill in the Co Chien Industrial Zone, Vinh Long Province, Vietnam, as well as a new animal feed factory in Punjab, India.

This strategic move will also strengthen its presence in other countries such as Indonesia and Cambodia. The Dutch company will now operate 17 feed mills and numerous livestock operations across the region.

The synergy between De Heus and CJ Feed & Care will help local farmers optimize their operations, improve performance, and increase profitability. Relationships with distributors and investment partners will also remain strong, along with the continued exchange of knowledge in nutrition, farm management, and veterinary services.

"By combining CJ Feed & Care's strong technical expertise and customer relationships with our century-long experience in animal nutrition and farm management, we can accelerate growth and deliver even more value to farmers across the region. Together, we are building a future in which farmers and their communities can thrive and contribute to a sustainable, resilient animal protein sector," expressed the CEO of De Heus Animal Nutrition, Gabor Fluit.

Furthermore, in January, De Heus Vietnam signed a cooperation agreement with Minh Phu Seafood Corporation, one of the world's leading shrimp exporters, to promote a sustainable value chain for the shrimp industry in the Southeast Asian country.
