Kyokuyo Europe B.V. has announced that it will acquire shares in two subsidiaries of Engelsviken: Engelsviken Canning Denmark A/S and Engelsviken Norway A/S, which operate seafood processing and sales sites under the parent company.
In this way, Kyokuyo Europe B.V., a subsidiary of Kyokuyo Co., Ltd., will acquire a 90% stake in Engelsviken, making it a consolidated subsidiary, and will expand its sales coverage in the Nordic market, in addition to the Western and Southern European markets it has already conquered through its Dutch subsidiary, KKE.
Engelsviken was founded in 1867 in a Norwegian port town, and its shrimp products are popular in supermarkets and food service establishments across the Nordic region, including Norway, Sweden, and Denmark, where it has established a strong presence.
Finally, and from now on, Kyokuyo has confirmed that it will focus on increasing sales of processed salmon/trout products, fried products, and other items produced by the Dutch and Turkish companies it incorporated as subsidiaries in 2024.
This Turkish company belonged to the Kocaman family, whose commercial business dated back to the establishment of the Turkish Republic. Kocaman aimed to provide consumers with "healthy and reliable" aquatic products that they can find in their local markets.
Moreover, Kyokuyo Co. confirmed a few months later that its subsidiary Ocean's Kitchen Corporation, based in Washington, USA, completed the construction of an imitation crab meat (also known as surimi) production factory.
