US family-owned processor Pacific Seafood has announced the opening of its first European Business Office in Hamburg, Germany, to become one of Europe's leading logistics and cold chain hubs and strengthen its presence in key EU markets.
The new office will be led by Stephan Kleemeyer, whose experience in the European market spans decades. He will lead Pacific’s commercial activity in the EU, strengthen customer partnerships, and identify growth opportunities for the company’s product offerings.
Previously, Kleemeyer was the Managing Director of European Business Operations at Trident Seafoods, where he oversaw Pickenpack's operations in Riepe, Germany.
In December 2024, Pacific Seafood acquired Trident Seafoods' processing operations in Kodiak, Alaska, which include three plants and apartments for team member housing.
"Stephan brings deep experience and strong relationships in the region, and we’re confident he will help us deliver even greater value to our European partners," expressed Ashton Meier, Vice President of Processing at Pacific Seafood.
This European initiative aligns with Mission 31, which aims to double the size of the company by 2031. For this reason, Pacific has been making key investments since 2024 in Alaska and Florida.
