Global Seafood Alliance (GSA) announced on its LinkedIn profile a collaboration with Certified Seafood International (CSI) to expand market access for responsibly sourced seafood.
GSA expects each link in the production chain to operate under responsible criteria, contributing not only to the preservation of marine ecosystems but also to the development of a more efficient industry that can address future challenges.
Both organizations, whose programs are aligned with internationally recognized sustainability benchmark standards, will offer reliable certification pathways for both wild-capture fisheries and aquaculture.
Thanks to this collaboration, buyers will have easier access to recognized and accessible products. In addition, CSI expands its global reach and market visibility by connecting its certified fisheries with GSA's established network of retailers and foodservice operators.
"Built on shared values and complementary areas of focus, GSA and CSI aim to deliver credible wild-capture and aquaculture certification pathways for seafood producers to access global markets," reads a GSA statement.
