Fluctus strengthens its presence in Northern Norway

The Norwegian company Fluctus, which provides equipment and technological solutions for the aquaculture industry, has appointed Stian Karlsen as its new sales representative for Northern Norway.

Previously, he held the position of technical inspector at Aquastructures and has also worked at Nova Sea, first as an operations technician and later as operations manager. He has more than 25 years of experience in the industry.

Regarding his appointment, he said: "I am looking forward to starting at Fluctus and working innovatively at the forefront of technological development. I have good relationships after many years in this industry and look forward to working with talented people in the development phase, which the industry is currently in."

Also, Fluctus Managing Director Harald Lien indicated: "Fluctus has a strong domestic market, and with this appointment, we are strengthening our permanent presence in Northern Norway. We have also recently hired a service technician in the same region. Stian will be a significant addition for us and for our customers in the north. He knows the industry well, has solid experience from the fish farm, operational management, and deep technical insight."

Fluctus has been developing and supplying feeding solutions since 1980. Its technology feeds the fish at depths where there are fewer sea lice, saves energy, and reduces the emissions of microplastics from the feeding pipes.

In 2024, it signed a commercial agreement with the Chilean company ITG for the distribution of both companies' products in Norway and Chile. Moreover, Fluctus announced a strategic partnership with Proximar Seafood for the supply of water-feeding systems to their land-based facility in Japan.
