Garware Technical Fibres Limited (GTFL) announced the hiring of Ricardo Gálvez Oyarce to strengthen the sales team of its subsidiary in Chile. His hiring, the Indian-owned company said in a statement, is aimed at contributing to Garware's growth and competitiveness in a key market that has been registering sustained growth for ten years.

"In Chile, we've experienced sustained growth over the last decade, and with our innovation, we've transformed the products used in the salmon farming industry. Ricardo's arrival seeks to strengthen Garware's growth and expansion, in line with our commercial strategy and the goal of maintaining and deepening our customer service," noted Gopakumar Menon, President of Americas for Garware Technical Fibres.

"Our innovation process begins with the voice of the customer, and we work closely together," Menon added. "At Garware, we look to the short, medium, and long term to identify new opportunities with our current and potential customers in a constantly evolving environment facing increasing challenges. Ricardo's experience and skills will help us execute our mission and objectives."

Before joining the company, the new addition to the Garware sales team in Chile has worked in areas such as maritime brokerage, industrial waste management, the development of new business lines and new markets, and in the commercial areas of Ventisqueros and Procter & Gamble. Ricardo Gálvez is also a civil engineer from the Universidad de Chile and holds a master's degree in business administration from the Universidad Austral de Chile.

"This is a new challenge for me in my career, and I approach it with great enthusiasm," Gálvez stated, commenting on his hiring. "Garware has high-quality products and is implementing best practices in innovation, sustainability, market expansion, and great teamwork, and I will focus on adding value to the sales team," he added.

One of India's leading players in the technical textiles sector, just over a year ago, Garware introduced the first 100% recycled ropes that reduce carbon footprint by 50%, helping trade associations and salmon farming companies to achieve their sustainability standards.

Shortly thereafter, the company also launched a new line of ropes created specifically for mussel seed from southern Chile, which, the Indian company said at the time, reflects its commitment to innovation and support for aquaculture development in the South American country.

Precisely, Ricardo Gálvez recently traveled to India, where both the headquarters and factories of the company are located. There, the new sales executive of the Chilean subsidiary of Garware Technical Fibres participated in an international business meeting and the celebration of the company's annual day, as well as an induction for the Garware Chile team to learn about the company and its key players.
