Hilde R. Storhaug, former CSO of Norcod and, more recently, Norway Director of WellFish Tech, has announced that she is now a new member of the Board of Directors of the Norwegian industrial technology group EQVA.

However, the announcement, made through a post on her LinkedIn profile, contained more news. The first is that Storhaug is no longer the Norway Director of WellFish Tech. While thanking her "talented colleagues" for the collaboration and valuable experiences, she stated that this "important chapter" of her career has come to an end.

Storhaug's departure, who had been in the position for a year and nine months after being appointed in November 2024, comes at a key moment for WellFish Tech in Norway, as the company has just gained approval for non-lethal blood sampling in Norwegian salmon farming while renewing work with Bue Salmon and signing a new partnership with Andfjord Salmon.

Thus, after communicating her departure from the Scottish aquaculture biotechnology company, Hilde R. Storhaug announced the second piece of news contained in her statement: she has started her own consulting firm.

"I am now moving forward with a full focus on Storhaug Advisory and providing advisory services to the aquaculture industry, after more than 20 years in the sector. My experience is particularly rooted in strategy, leadership, production, and ESG," she wrote.

"One of my first steps has been to take on the role of board member at EQVA ASA," Storhaug continued, thus revealing the third of the news items, which opens this news.

In this latest position in particular and, in general, in this new stage of her career, Hilde R. Storhaug will have, as she herself highlighted, those two decades of experience that she will now apply to her advisory services and board work.

During that time, in addition to the aforementioned roles of Chief Sustainability Officer at Norcod—where she was also CEO for eight months before Christian Riber took over the role—and Norway Director of WellFish Tech, she also served as an analyst specializing in aquaculture at Kontali and biology coordinator at Marine Harvest, now Mowi.

"To be able to make a change like this, I undoubtedly have my network to thank. It is in the relationships, the trust, and the exchange of experience that the real strength of this industry lies—and much of what provides direction, broadens horizons, and creates long-term value," Storhaug reflected in her statement.

"I look forward to what comes next, and to continuing to row forward together with inspiring people in and around the aquaculture industry," she concluded.
