Aquaculture and fish tracking technology supplier Innovasea has presented an updated brand and leadership structure to better align with the company's mission of environmental stewardship, global advocacy, and sustainable practices.

According to Innovasea's release, the refresh, which includes a reimagined version of its previous logo and a new color scheme, better reflects the organization's ties to Innovaciones Alumbra (iAlumbra) and the Cuna del Mar portfolio, in which it is included. As part of this rebranding, it has also updated its website.

From a product-centric approach to a proposal of design and consulting services

With the aim of better reflecting the fully interconnected solutions it provides, Innovasea has reorganized its aquaculture offering and the new site highlights submersible cages for open sea aquaculture and also showcases the technologies and support systems that enhance and complement their performance, emphasizing that, while each product works outstandingly on its own, together they allow open ocean farms to carry out all their operations underwater.

"This approach fully supports regenerative aquaculture by empowering operators to continuously maintain optimal conditions that improve growth rates and enhance fish welfare," the release highlighted.

Likewise, the new site also more accurately reflects Innovasea's land-based aquaculture offering, shifting from a product-centric approach to a more comprehensive proposal of design and consulting services, thus more clearly communicating its experts' ability to design, implement and support farms in all phases of fish production.

Finally, the company also said that the update makes it easier for users to find and compare its range of industry-leading acoustic telemetry products and solutions.

"These changes represent the meaningful advancements we've made and position us to continue advancing our mission of building a more sustainable future," said Mark Jollymore, Innovasea CEO. "We are poised to capitalize on emerging opportunities in aquaculture and fish tracking, and I'm proud to be leading this team, and incorporating their vision and expertise, as we enter our next phase of innovation."

 Introducing Innovasea's senior leadership team

Innovasea took advantage of its rebranding presentation to also formalize its leadership team, starting with its new Chief Executive Officer. Mark Jollymore, who joined Innovasea in 2017 following the acquisition of Amirix Systems and served as President of Fish Tracking Operations before assuming the role of interim CEO in May 2025, replacing David Kelly, was finally named permanent CEO last November.

Based in Innovasea's Halifax, Nova Scotia, he leads the senior leadership team, which, from its North American base, oversees an international workforce of more than 250 employees and will guide the company in its next stage of growth.

Joining Jollymore on that team will be the CFO and supervisor of the IT and HR departments, Jean Turpin. Appointed in 2023, he has since played a key role in the company's global expansion strategy, financial planning, and the execution of its strategic plan.

There will also be General Manager of Aquaculture Systems Marc Turano, who was promoted to that position after previously leading Innovasea’s land-based aquaculture group since 2022. Now, he will oversee all business operations related to aquaculture sales, customer success, and service, and will work closely with Vice Presidents George Nardi and Tim Stone.

With more than three decades of experience in the seafood and aquaculture industry, George Nardi has served as Innovasea's VP of Aquaculture Services since 2017. Currently, he oversees all aquaculture advising and technical support initiatives, and, as part of his role, he also works closely with the Cuna del Mar Portfolio of companies.

Tim Stone, for his part, has been named Vice President of Aquaculture Technology and will oversee all aspects of Innovasea's research and development for its aquaculture technology. As Jollymore, Stone first joined the company through the acquisition of Amirix Systems and has overseen the development and continuing advancement of its hardware and software solutions.

The company's senior leadership team is completed by the General Manager of its Fish Tracking operations, Amy Brookman. Promoted last January, assuming the position previously held by Jollymore, she will focus her efforts on innovative, customer-oriented solutions for Innovasea's fish tracking community.

Finally, Innovasea noted that in 2025 it also appointed three new Managing Directors to oversee its global aquaculture operations: Jorge Bravo in Chile, Sigve Naustdal in Norway, and Andreas Mintsios in the Mediterranean.

According to the release, this group, made up of two internal promotions—Bravo and Naustdal—and one external strategic hire—Mintsios—, will help lead and advise Innovasea's aquaculture initiatives around the world.
